Moving Around the House

by Elizabeth Mallis
(Vilonia, AR)

After I had my c-section, I was weak for the first two days, but by day three I was moving a lot, and they sent me home. There I stayed moving as much as possible without straining myself.

One thing I noticed is while I was at the sink washing dishes that I was using my abdominal muscles. So I did it everyday so it would work it, but only a little. That way, I didn't over do it. Slowly, more house work, till now I am 6 weeks after, and yesterday I mowed the lawn, and later in the evening, I took my dog out for a walk.

If you take it easy and slowly increase housework, you'll not only get stuff done, but you move around easier and a lot faster. Just don't over do it. If you feel tired or hurt, sit down. Stop and take a break.

Don't give up on yourself. You will get back into those pre-pregnancy jeans.
