My abs exercise question is I have extruded disk at L5-S1...which exercises are best for me?

Ati,
Most of the time when you have an extruded disc, the positions that will worsen your pain in bending and prolonged sitting. Is that true for you? If so, you'll want to avoid sit-ups at this time because it causes bending at your spine and may worsen your symptoms.
I would also recommend you check out this page and see if the press-up exercise helps decrease your symptoms:
Press-up ExerciseThe rule of thumb I usually give my patients is that the pain should not progress further into your buttock, thigh or leg with the exercise. You may feel some lower back pain during the exercise but it should subside after 1-2 hours. If it stays worse for more than 2 hours, discontinue the exercise and consult with your doctor.
